The United States Constitution-- Where it all started
The US Constitution is the oldest and shortest constitution on Earth. Since it is pretty tough for the modern reader to decipher the English used by the Founding Fathers, the Layman's Constitution below outlines the famous document in terms we all can understand. As the time between us and the 1788 ratification of the Constitution increases, so too does the importance of understanding the vision of the Founding Fathers, what the US was founded on, and how we can look to the past for guidance in even the worst of times.
